01. Basic Concept of Procurement

Currently, companies are required to appropriately respond to issues aimed at sustainable social and economic development, not only within their own groups but also across related supply chains.
The Kurita Group has revised corporate vision to ``Pioneer of new value for water that contributes to the realizing a sustainable society '' and corporate philosophy established Basic Policy . We will continue to work towards the realization of ``creating a rich Environment in which people and humans live in harmony .''

As part of the formulation of each of Basic Policy, we have established the "Kurita Group Procurement Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy"), so please read it.
In addition, our group is always looking for new partner companies.
We would appreciate your understanding of our basic procurement philosophy and would appreciate the assistance of our partner companies in the procurement of raw materials, supplies, parts, services, and construction work.

A. Open purchasing

We will provide a Fairness and equal opportunity for participation to all partner companies.

B. Coexistence and co-prosperity

We aim to be a good partner with our partner companies, striving for mutual prosperity based on mutual trust.

C. Criteria for selecting partner companies

We will make a comprehensive judgment based on quality, price competitiveness, delivery deadline reliability, management stability, and green purchasing (RoHS Directive) compliance.

02. The Kurita Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines

The Kurita Group will conduct procurement activities in accordance with the "Kurita Group Procurement Policy." We have now compiled the relevant matters that we would like partner companies in the supply chain to implement in the "Kurita Group Sustainability Procurement Guidelines" (hereinafter referred to as "the Guidelines").
We ask all our partner companies to agree with the purpose and content of this policy and guidelines and to actively promote their efforts. If your partner company is a trading company or agency, we also ask that you promote their expansion to your suppliers.

A. Compliance with laws and social norms

We comply with laws, regulations and social norms, and conduct transactions with consideration for fundamental human rights, occupational safety and health, and global Environment conservation.

Respect for fundamental human rights | We ask that you respect fundamental human rights in your business activities, eliminate discrimination based on gender, nationality, religion, race, disability, etc., and refrain from forced labor.
Occupational Safety and Health | We ask that you strive to create and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work Environment in your business activities.
Global Environment Conservation | We ask that you minimize the negative impact on society, the Environment, resources, and the safety and health of people that occur during the manufacturing, production, construction, etc. processes of your business activities.

B. Fairness and fair transactions, qualified prices

We will provide our business partners with Fairness and equal opportunities to participate, and conduct transactions with reliable quality based on appropriate standards and standards, and at competitive and reasonable prices.

Compliance with laws and social norms We ask that you check and comply with laws, regulations, and norms related to Fairness and impartial transactions in your business activities. We conduct transactions at competitive and fair prices.

C. Procurement for stable provision

We contribute to the sustainable development of society by procuring materials and services that enable us to continuously and stably provide our products and services to our customers.

High-quality and safe products and services | We ask that you comply with laws and regulations regarding product safety in your business activities, provide high-quality products and services, and provide appropriate information.
Information Management | Please strictly manage personal information and confidential information obtained in the course of business in accordance with your company's internal regulations and non-disclosure agreements.

D. Anti-social forces

We will not engage in any transactions that provide profit to anti-social forces or terrorist groups.

Our company takes a resolute stance against anti-social forces that threaten social order and safety, and makes sure that we do not respond to unreasonable demands from such forces.
