The Kurita Innovation Hub (KIH) is a hub of the Kurita Group in global research, development, and co-creation. Through interaction and collaboration with various stakeholders, we will accelerate the creation of innovations that solve social and industrial issues.

KIH’s Missions

We promote interaction and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, such as various companies, universities, research institutions, local communities, shareholders, investors, and Group employees, to create innovation by combining multiple knowledge.

Through our original education and training programs, which utilize the “knowledge of water” including hands-on training at the training center, we grow the human resources to solve social and industrial issues.

Through the activities for children expected to lead the next generation, such as social study tours, work experience programs, and rugby training sessions by Kurita Water Gush Akishima based at their home in Akishima City, we contribute to activating local communities.

Environment to promote co-creation

Utilizing our state-of-the-art experimental and analytical equipment, water treatment systems such as ultra-pure water manufacturing systems, and clean rooms with the same cleanliness level as cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing factories, we can conduct a wide range of tests and effectiveness verifications related to water and the environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.

To encourage co-creation, there are collaboration spaces with the concept of a “borderless space where creative ideas are born,” preparing an environment to encourages active communication with diverse people. In addition, our open-plan office area, where employees can choose their own work location and facilities according to their work, won the New Office Promotion Award at the 36th Nikkei New Office Awards.

The exhibition area offers various contents, such as the importance of water, the basics of water treatment, applied water treatment technologies, and solutions so that stakeholders of schools and local communities can feel water treatment closer. In addition, the training center, which has multiple actual water treatment equipment, is not only for training human resources of the Kurita Group employees but also as a place where people from outside the company can learn water treatment knowledge and skills through various programs tailored to their needs.
