Q.What do you think is the type of Digital Transformation that only Kurita can achieve?
The term "climate tech" has been around for several years, and many startups have been born. Many of these startups are led by people with expertise in software. However, because Climate change is an issue that occurs in the physical world, it should be considered in conjunction with hardware. The Kurita Group solves problems related to water facilities around the world, and we believe we can provide value by closely linking software and hardware.
Q. What future do you envision that can be realized through Kurita's Digital Transformation?
Maximizing the value of solutions to on-site issues. We believe that Kurita's greatest strength is its "on-site capabilities." We deliver value to customers by sticking to a wide variety of on-site issues and resolving them through repeated hypothesis testing. I believe that we can maximize value by combining the experience gained from this "on-site commitment" with data and digital technology.

Q. What are your goals and challenges for the future?
We are currently working on establishing a data infrastructure and applications to properly and efficiently utilize the large amount of data stored within the company. Once this is complete, we would like to take a high level of abstraction for things like water and equipment, and try to maximize the significance of adding digital technology.
Q. What does Digital Transformation mean to you in one word?

Finally, let me introduce you to the daily life of the Digital Strategy Headquarters staff.
My hobby is Santa Claus 🎅
I work as a volunteer staff member for Japan's largest Santa Claus organization.
He belongs to the IT team and is responsible for maintaining the website and developing IT tools to support Santa as he visits children on Christmas day, and on Christmas day he also visits as Santa himself.
