    Mission in Digital Transformation

    • "Advanced operation and management of entire water treatment facilities" through digitalization of Kurita's water treatment Technology and utilization of AI and IT

Q.What do you think is the type of Digital Transformation that only Kurita can achieve?

We are considering automating the water treatment driving service.
Kurita has comprehensive knowledge about water treatment that it has cultivated over the 74 years since its founding. If we could develop Technology that would digitize this knowledge, use on-site operation data collected through remote monitoring Technology for water treatment facilities, and use the organized knowledge to determine on-site conditions and automatically perform optimal operation control, I believe we would be able to provide Kurita's operation management services to customers with water treatment facilities around the world.

Q. What future do you envision that can be realized through Kurita's Digital Transformation?

This is the realization of water treatment equipment that makes life easier for people.
Currently, at the production sites of Kurita's customers around the world, operation and management is heavily manual, and Kurita employees are working hard to ensure stable operation of the facilities and cost optimization in managing the water treatment equipment and water supply sites that we have delivered. If the aforementioned autonomous driving Technology becomes widely implemented, we believe that we will be able to create water treatment sites that are trouble-free, have extremely low operating costs, and are kind to both people and the Environment.

What future do you envision that can be realized through Kurita's Digital Transformation?

Q. What are your goals and challenges for the future?

I want to become a "data scientist for water treatment." In particular, I am interested in building models for analyzing data from water treatment facilities. This started when I was working on a project I am currently in charge of, where we started creating qualitative situation diagnosis models that can be used in various fields using Bayesian network Technology, a method that uses probability calculations to show the causal relationships and strength of relationships between multiple events. Our department also conducts quantitative field simulations using mathematical models, which I am also interested in.

Q. What does Digital Transformation mean to you in one word?

What does Digital Transformation mean to you in one word?

Finally, let me introduce you to the daily life of the Digital Strategy Headquarters staff.

Playing lacrosse is a great way to unwind

I started playing this sport in my university days, and continued playing it after graduation on a working team. Now, this year marks my 10th year! In addition to practice and games, I also have fun with my teammates, going out for drinks, and so on!
