Mission in Digital Transformation
- Centralize data accumulated in the core systems of each Kurita Group company and provide a system for data utilization across the entire company
Q.What do you think is the type of Digital Transformation that only Kurita can achieve?
We believe that by utilizing digital technology and putting the "water knowledge " we have cultivated in our water treatment business to good use throughout the Kurita Group, we can contribute to solving social issues. As in the case of the used disposable diaper recycling system, there are likely many potential issues around the world that cannot be solved by customers alone but can be solved by utilizing our "knowledge about water." I feel that if " water knowledge " can be utilized throughout the Kurita Group, we will see an increase in the number of such problem-solving examples.
Q. What future do you envision that can be realized through Kurita's Digital Transformation?
Water and the Environment are inseparable. I believe that our water knowledge is essential to making the global Environment better in the future, and that it is something that society expects from us. As we advance our Digital Transformation transformation efforts, we will be able to contribute to solving social issues, which will ultimately help provide a sustainable global Environment for the next generation. I think this is a worthwhile endeavor.
Q. What are your goals and challenges for the future?
I am currently taking on the challenge of centralizing the data accumulated in the core systems of each Kurita Group company and building a system that will enable data to be utilized across the entire company. There are many challenges to overcome in order to make this a reality, but if this system is realized, it will enable the results of CSV business across the entire Kurita Group to be understood in a timely manner. I believe that being able to understand the results in a timely manner will lead to faster decision-making, further accelerating the CSV business activities of the Kurita Group. (In addition to creating the system, we also need to work in parallel with relevant parties to implement measures that will enable everyone to use it.)
Q. What does Digital Transformation mean to you in one word?
Finally, let me introduce you to the daily life of the Digital Strategy Headquarters staff.
Traveling with my family has been a great way to unwind.
I'm more of an indoor person, so I don't go out often, but my family urges me to go on trips with them, and it's a good way to relax.
