Greetings from Kurita Water Industries Ltd. President and CEO Hirohiko Ejiri and Executive General Manager of Digital Strategy Division Makoto Mizuno.
Kurita Group is Advancing Didital Transformation to Lead in "Pioneering 'New Value for Water' to Contribute to a Sustainable Society"
To realize our corporate philosophy, the Kurita Group has set "Pioneering 'new value for water' to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society" as its corporate vision for 2030.
In order to achieve this vision, our five-year medium-term management plan, "Pioneering Shared Value 2027 (PSV-27)," which was released in April 2023, identifies digital strategy as a critical component in gaining a competitive advantage.
With the rapid advancement of digitalization, AI and IoT have become widespread, significantly impacting society and industry. This trend is expected to accelerate further, increasing the volume of information companies must manage. Given this, we recognize the need to leverage digital technology to aggregate data, extract meaningful insights, and transform them into "water knowledge" that drives extensive and proactive business opportunities.
However, failing to collect and analyze the right information could lead to missed opportunities and overlooked risks. To address this, the Kurita Group is advancing initiatives in both "operational transformation" for internal optimization and "business transformation" to enhance customer value. Through digital technology, we aim to strengthen our competitive edge while delivering broader and higher value to customers and society worldwide.
We will proactively promote DX to continue being a group that delivers broader and higher value to customers and society around the world, helping to realize a better world and, as a result, achieving sustainable corporate growth.

Kurita Group's management philosophy, "Study water, master it, and create an abundant Environment in which nature and man are in harmony," is realized through digital technology
The Kurita Group has a strong desire to change society for the better through our customers.
The Digital Transformation we are working on aims to simultaneously create both economic value for our customers and social value, and we are undertaking a variety of initiatives to achieve this.
Since its founding, the Kurita Group has been aware that "water and the Environment" are closely related, and has provided various solutions to customers in the form of water treatment equipment and water treatment chemicals, creating and providing various values. Going forward, based on the idea of "BtoBtoS (Society)" that is conscious of the society beyond our customers, the Kurita Group will combine its already overwhelming strength in water treatment solutions with new problem-solving methods such as digital solutions, and dramatically increase the speed, quantity and quality of value provision.
We believe that the Kurita Group's vision is to achieve its corporate philosophy of "Study the properties of water, master them, and create a rich Environment in which nature and man are in harmony."
To realize corporate philosophy, I believe it is important to share the water knowledge that we have cultivated thus far within the Group as explicit knowledge and quickly realize a situation in which it can be properly utilized in various locations around the world.
What is needed for this is the promotion of Digital Transformation and innovation.
We have identified these as key issues for providing value, and through projects such as the Meta-Aqua Project with Fractaleep, we have established the foundation and structure for future full-scale initiatives. Another major achievement has been the fostering of awareness of change among employees.
As the Persons responsible for promotion DX, I will strive to gain a deep understanding of digital so that the Kurita Group will become a leader in change our customers and society for the better.
