Analysis and Testing | Services
Cover wider the three states of matter

The Kurita Group provides highly trusted analysis and test services, such as the analysis regarding water quality and environment, pharmaceutical test, and others.
About analysis and test
The Kurita Group provides a wide range of analyses and tests that respond to customers’ needs, such as analysis of water quality analysis for properties and uses; boiler water, cooling water, ultrapure water, wastewater; environmental analysis of soil and fly ash; and compositional analysis and consigned test of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The knowledge and data obtained through these analyses and tests are accumulated as water knowledge, which becomes a foundation for creating and providing solutions that contribute to the Kurita Group to solve social and industrial issues.
Analysis
Qualifying and quantifying invisible substances in water with various properties, applications, solids can be visualized as their states and constituents to prove the effectiveness of multiple treatments.

Prove the quality of ultrapure water
Challenges
In recent years, the miniaturization of semiconductors has progressed in requiring ultrapure water with higher purity than ever. Following that, high-precision analyses capable of detecting trace substances in ultrapure water (UPW) are required to monitor UPW quality and investigate the cause of abnormalities.
Solutions
The Kurita Group provides microscopic analysis to prove the world's highest level of ultrapure water quality. Growing demands for high quality, Kurita has established its own analytical technology, which has obtained ISO/IEC17025 laboratory accreditation and enables us to respond to pg/L (ppq) orders. By appropriately evaluating the water quality for manufacturing processes, ultrapure water can be secured by monitoring water quality and investigating the causes of abnormalities. These efforts enable the stable supply of ultrapure water to customers, contributing to reliability operation.

Stable operation quality
Consigned test
Based on analysis and assessment technologies regarding water and environment developed over the years, the Kurita Group provides consignment-based tests, such as the compositional and physical property analysis in response to customer requirements, the standard test for JIS and other standards, corrosiveness test of industrial water, and evaluation test for the adsorption performance of activated carbon.

Test of pharmaceuticals purified water and water for injection
Challenges
Purified water for medical and pharmaceutical uses and injections is required to be manufactured without impurities. Therefore, tests regarding production quality must be conducted before and after the start of production following the standard.
Solutions
The Kurita Group provides the tests for purified pharmaceutical water and water for injection, following the standards of the three pharmacopeia systems in Japan, Europe, and the United States. Kurita conducts the tests to prove the quality of customers’ products, following standards, such as the operational performance qualification (PQs) tests. The tests are based on the general manufacturing practices (GMP), which is the manufacturing control and quality control standards for pharmaceuticals. These tests had led to improvements in the product quality.
