Water treatment systems
Water treatment systems produce appropriate water according to the usage of various industries. It can stably provide appropriate water, such as ultrapure water. The latter is essential in the fabrication of electronic components, such as semiconductors, pure water and soft water used in boilers for factories and other facilities. The systems can also be used in manufacturing water for the food and beverage industries, improving productivity.

Cleaning thoroughly with ultrapure water (UPW) to remove impurities and improve yield
Challenges
In the manufacturing of electronic components embedded in precision equipment, cleaning processes to remove chemical substances and foreign particles on circuit boards are required to prevent negative impacts on product yield.
Solutions
UPW production systems produce water that is exceptionally close to pure H2O, consist of pre-processing systems such as filtration systems, primary deionizers ,such as reverse osmosis (RO) membranes and ion exchange resins and sub-systems such as ultraviolet sterilization systems and UF membranes. These systems remove impurities like ions, heavy metals, organic matter, and dissolved gases, contributing to the improvement of product yields. Furthermore, combined wastewater reclamation systems for recovering and reusing UPW contributes to water saving.

Wastewater treatment systems remove suspended solids and hazardous substances from the wastewater generated by factories and other facilities. These systems purify wastewater to the appropriate water quality for objectives, such as release, reducing environmental impacts.

Reduce excess sludge waste by biological treatment
Challenges
In wastewater treatment at factories and other facilities, biological treatment is often used to break down organic matter found in wastewater. Among the microogramisms, aerobic biological treatment (standard activated sludge method,) which uses oxygen-requiring microorganisms, has a problem generating a large amount of excess waste sludge due to multiplying bacteria by breaking down organic stuff.
Solutions
The Bioplanet™ SR is an aerobic biological treatment system that generates less excess sludge and can significantly reduce the amount of excess sludge by utilizing the organic food chain in nature, compared with standard aerobic biological treatment. This contributes to waste reductions. In addition, maintaining the bacteria that break down organic matter stably by adding “carriers” suitable for aeration methods and bacteria can follow fluctuations in wastewater quality and implement stable wastewater treatment.
